Black Friday is going off at Wealthy Affiliate!

Kyle and Carson are the creators of Wealthy Affiliate.

Here's what Carson says about the Black Friday crazy offer:

Carson here from WA.  Black Friday is going off at Wealthy Affiliate!

Occupy Wealthy Affiliate (OWA) is going on right now... (seriously)

People have spent their $1, are setting up their tents in the members area, and claim to be going nowhere.  We are OK with that, in fact the more the merrier.

But people that have not joined yet are a little concerned.

Doesn't the fact that more people are joining a movement like "Internet Marketing" mean less opportunity.

Well, that is what the some people would like you to think, in particular conventional businesses and gurus who make money off of selling you new products over and over again.  The "hole" in this line of thinking is simple...

(1) There are 7 BILLION people in the world now
(2) Billions of these people are now connected to the Internet
(3) Many people have 4 computers (desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone)
(4) People are spending more of their days online
(5) The marketplace, the potential, and the audience you have access to is BILLIONS

Out of our 9 years in the biz, I can tell you that I have never seen a more opportune time.  Many of the Internet business models have changed completely, but that is the Internet. That is what makes it exciting. :)

I think that we are a few years away from TENS OF MILLIONS of people generating their entire income online.  These are people like you and I.  People that simply have a passion and put their passion online.

It all starts with a dream and working towards that dream.

The dream of achieving massive success.

The dream of working for yourself.

The dream of being able to support their families from an online income.

The dream of working in your pajamas.

The dream of doing something that is self-fulfilling.

The dream is HERE.

You are a $1 away from Occupying WA...which means you are step closer "occupying" a lifestyle that is one that you enjoy and that is free from the instability of our current offline economy.

Unlike the workplace that is becoming "global" and being "outsourced", the Internet is a growing opportunity that we can all leverage, all appreciate, and all make our presence felt within...and earn a living in the process.

We want to teach you how.

Do we have ourselves a deal?  I really hope so and I look forward to meeting you Sam.

Please make sure you get in touch with myself or Kyle within WA if you decide to join. :)

Cheers,

Carson

ONE...This number has a lot of underlying meanings this week.

YES! This number has a lot of underlying meanings this week.
ONE.  This is the dollar amount it is going to cost Wealthy Affiliate starting Black Friday (which is November 25th).
ONE. It is the number of months that you get access to Wealthy Affiliate for $1.
ONE. Is the number of times we will EVER be offering this kind of trial.
ONE. Minute that is, how long it will take you to join WA and get access to the top Internet Marketing training online!

Anna Hazare: India campaigner ends hunger strike

Indian anti-corruption campaigner Anna Hazare has ended a high-profile hunger strike in Delhi after 12 days.

He accepted a glass of fruit juice from a five-year-old girl.

His move came a day after MPs expressed support for proposed changes to anti-corruption legislation.

After nearly nine hours of debate, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee told parliament the "sense of the House" was behind Anna Hazare's key demands.
However, an expected vote on the proposals did not take place.

Mr Hazare, 74, had vowed not to stop until a tougher bill was passed, but doctors have warned that his health is deteriorating rapidly.

He has so far lost 7kg (15lbs) in weight and has refused medical advice to be put on an intravenous drip to help him rehydrate.

'Crossroads'

Opening Saturday's debate in Delhi on the proposed amendments, Mr Mukherjee said India was "at a crossroads", with the focus squarely on the country's parliamentary democracy.

Mr Mukherjee said that while there was support for Mr Hazare's proposals, a solution would have to be found within the Indian constitution.

Meanwhile, governing Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi said he had "serious doubts" that a single bill would end corruption.

Water Rising Fast On Long Island As Irene Wreaks Havoc

HAMPTON BAYS, NY (CBSNewYork) – Irene is wreaking havoc on parts of Long Island, but has lost its hurricane strength.

The National Hurricane Center says Irene’s winds dropped to 65 miles per hour as it hit Coney Island around 9 a.m. Sunday.

But that hasn’t stopped the massive storm from dumping rain, flooding streets and creating dangerous storm surges along parts of the coast.

Heavy flooding is being reported in Southampton. Waves are crashing onto roads and surrounding homes along the coastline. Boats are also being washed ashore in some spots.

'Girls can play guitar,' says Lita Ford, heading to Soaring Eagle with Whitesnake, Tesla

When the Runaways first hit the national scene in the 1970s, breaking down walls for the rocking females to come, Lita Ford was all of 16.

“And I was the oldest in the band,” she said, breaking into a dry laugh. “Joan Jett was 16, too, but she was born September 22 and I was September 19.”

A lot has changed since those days — most people now know Ford plays her own guitar — but one thing remains the same. When it comes to rock ’n’ roll, she still lets loose with a throaty “Yeah, it’s the best.”

Ford, back on the concert trail, performs Saturday, Aug. 27, with Whitesnake and Tesla at Mount Pleasant’s Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. And when she’s not traveling, she’s in the studio, putting the final touches on an album she said is pure Lita.

Vernal Equinox 2011: First-Day-of-Spring Myths, Facts

Updated March 20, 2011
In the Northern Hemisphere spring officially begins at 7:21 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 20, 2011—the vernal equinox, or spring equinox (see vernal equinox pictures).

But don't be fooled by the old rumor that on the vernal equinox the length of day is exactly equal to the length of night.

The true days of day-night equality always fall before the vernal equinox and after the autumnal, or fall, equinox, according to Geoff Chester, a public affairs specialist with the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C.

"Exactly when it happens depends on where you are located on the surface of the Earth," he said.

By the time the center of the sun passes over the Equator—the official definition of equinox—the day will be slightly longer than the night everywhere on Earth. The difference is a matter of geometry, atmosphere, and language.

(Video: Equinox Balances Day and Night.)

Geometry, Atmosphere, Language of the Vernal Equinox

If the sun were just a tiny point of light and Earth had no atmosphere, then day and night would each be exactly 12 hours long on a spring equinox day.

But to begin with, as seen from Earth, the sun is nearly as large as a little fingertip held at arm's length, or half a degree wide.

Sunrise is defined as the moment the top edge of the sun appears to peek over the horizon. Sunset is when the very last bit of the sun appears to dip below the horizon.

The vernal equinox, however, occurs when the center of the sun crosses the Equator.

Plus, Earth's atmosphere bends the sunlight when it's close to the horizon, so the golden orb appears a little higher in the sky than it really is.

As a result, the sun appears to be above the horizon a few minutes earlier than it really is.

Therefore, on the vernal equinox day, the daylight hours are actually longer than the length of time between when the sun crosses the horizon at dawn and when the sun crosses the horizon at sunset.

"Those factors all combine to make the day of the equinox not the day when we have 12 hours of light and darkness," Chester said.

Vernal Equinox Special Nonetheless

The length of day and night may not be equal on the vernal equinox, but that doesn't make the first day of spring any less special.

The fall and spring equinoxes, for starters, are the only two times during the year when the sun rises due east and sets due west, according to Alan MacRobert, a senior editor with Sky & Telescope magazine.

The equinoxes are also the only days of the year when a person standing on the Equator can see the sun passing directly overhead.

On the Northern Hemisphere's vernal equinox day, a person at the North Pole would see the sun skimming across the horizon, beginning six months of uninterrupted daylight.

A person at the South Pole would also see the sun skim the horizon, but it would signal the start of six months of darkness.

Pope Shuffles Vernal Equinox

Another equinox oddity: A rule of the calendar keeps spring almost always arriving on March 20 or 21—but sometimes on the 19th—MacRobert said.

In 1582 Pope Gregory XIII established the Gregorian calendar, which most of the world now observes, to account for an equinox inconvenience.

If the he hadn't established the new calendar, every 128 years the equinox would have come a full calendar day earlier—eventually putting Easter in chilly midwinter.

"It begins with the fact that there is not an exact number of days in a year," MacRobert said.

Before the pope's intervention, the Romans and much of the European world marked time on the Julian calendar.

Instituted by Julius Caesar, the old calendar counted exactly 365.25 days per year, averaged over a four-year cycle. Every four years a leap day helped keep things on track.

It turns out, however, that there are 365.24219 days in an astronomical "tropical" year—defined as the time it takes the sun, as seen from Earth, to make one complete circuit of the sky.

Using the Julian calendar, the spring and fall equinoxes and the seasons were arriving 11 minutes earlier each year. By 1500 the vernal equinox had fallen back to March 11.

To fix the problem, the pope decreed that most century years (such as 1700, 1800, and 1900) would not be leap years. But century years divisible by 400, like 2000, would be leap years.

Under the Gregorian calendar, the year is 365.2425 days long. "That gets close enough to the true fraction that the seasons don't drift," MacRobert said.

With an average duration of 365.2425 days, Gregorian years are now only 27 seconds longer than the length of the tropical year—an error which will allow the gain of one day over a period of about 3,200 years.

Nowadays, according to the U.S. Naval Observatory's Chester, equinoxes migrate through a period that occurs about six hours later from calendar year to calendar year, due to the leap year cycle.

The system resets every leap year, slipping a little bit backward until a non-leap century year leap nudges the equinoxes forward in time once again.

Daniel Tosh ‘Happy Thoughts’ on Comedy Central, Too Harsh?

Do you think Daniel Tosh’s girlfriend is upset with him?  Tosh did a giant rant about his Comedy Central special on how much he hates his girlfriend! How could you date a guy that did that?

Tonight Daniel Tosh had a special on Comedy Central, “Happy Thoughts” and he was pretty harsh!  Nothing was off limits for Daniel Tosh in tonight’s stand-up special.

The comedian went off on abortion, overweight people, religion, racism, and many topics. The targets of his humor include his girlfriend, the Winter Olympics, star athletes, illegal immigration, gay sex, Twitter, Mormons, the Amish and baseball.

His jokes about baseball records are especially memorable. The act was filmed in San Francisco, and Tosh tells his audience, “Thanks for clapping for what my parents are ashamed of.”  A repeat warning: It’s a bracing hour.

You can preview Daniel Tosh’s “Happy Thoughts” in these video clips or watch it on Comedy Central when it airs on March 8 (9:00 p.m. ET), March 9 (12:31 a.m. ET), and March 11 (9:58 p.m. ET).

The 7 Wonders of the Ancient World

Search Amazon.com for The 7 Wonders of the World

The 7 Wonders of the World (or the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World) refers to any of many lists of remarkable constructions of classical antiquity according to guidebooks common amongst the ancient Hellenic tourists, particularly in the 1st and 2nd centuries BC. One of the most prominent of these, the versions by Antipater of Sidon and an observer identified as Philon of Byzantium, is composed of seven works situated around the Mediterranean rim. In turn, this original list has inspired innumerable versions by means of the ages, frequently in keeping with the limited number of seven entries. Of the original Seven Wonders, only one — the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is ironically the oldest of the ancient wonders—has remained relatively intact into the existing day.

7 wonders of the ancient world
The 7 Wonders of the Ancient World (from left to right, leading to bottom): Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, along with the Lighthouse of Alexandria as depicted by 16th-century Dutch artist Marten Heemskerk.

See the well-known Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: Walk by way of the lush Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Climb the fantastic Lighthouse at Alexandria. Stand just before the immense statue of Zeus at Olympia. Marvel at the beauty of the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus.

The ancient Greeks loved to compile lists of the marvelous structures in their world. Although we think of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World as a single list today, there had been in fact quite a few lists compiled by different Greek writers. Antipater of Sidon, and Philon of Byzantium, drew up two of probably the most well-known lists.

Several of the lists agreed on six of the seven items. The final location on some lists was awarded to the Walls of the City of Babylon. On other people, the Palace of Cyrus, king of Persia took the seventh position. Finally, toward the 6th century A.D., the final item became the Lighthouse at Alexandria.

Since the it was Greeks who created the lists it is not unusal that a lot of of the items on them had been examples of Greek culture. The writers might have listed the Wonderful Wall of China if then had recognized about it, or Stonehenge if they’d seen it, but these locations had been beyond the limits of their world.

It is a surprise to many people to discover that not all of the Seven Wonders existed at the exact same time. Even if you lived in ancient times you’d have still necessary a time machine to see all seven. While the Great Pyramid of Egypt was built centuries just before the rest and is still around today (it is the only “wonder” still intact) most of the other people only survived several hundred years or much less. The Colossus of Rhodes stood only a little much more than half a century just before an earthquake toppled it.

The Bachelor Goes to Madawaska, Maine: 5 Things About This Quaint Town

The Bachelor Brad Womack and his remaining Bachelorettes hit the road so that Brad could visit their home towns and give some context on who and where his potential future wife is from. One of the stops? Madawaska, Maine. It is not a place many can find on the map, until now. This quaint town shined in the limelight on this week’s Bachelor when the 26-year-old dental student Ashley Hebert took him to her hometown.

Here are five thing about the small main town:

It is not a large town. Back in 2000 there were about 4,ooo people from about 1,000 families.

Madawaska is the northernmost town in New England. It is right across the way from Edmundston in New Brunswick, Canada,

Over 80% of the residents of Madawaska speak French at home.

Their main industry, besides producing Bachelorettes, is producing paper.

Madawaska is home of the big Acadian festival.

Bosnia Vs Mexico: Bosnia Vs Mexico Info You Need To Know

All of the zesty info you want and need to know about Bosnia vs Mexico.

Bosnia- Herzegovina squares off against Mexico and the two teams are looking to spice up the Georgia Dome and have us referring to Atlanta as Hotlanta once again.

Unfortunately, that will not happen.

This isn’t even remotely close to being a hot match. It’s a rather poor match up to throw at fans in the States, or even soccer fans in general, despite a few storylines heading into this match.

Unfortunately for Bosnia, passport issues have prevented them from filling their best team.
This gives Mexico hope for a win, but not for the fans tuning in to the match.
Bosnia is without its best player Edin Dzeko. He is the team’s top striker so don’t expect much pizzazz with him out of the matchup.

Mexico is looking to see if Jose Manuel “Chepo” de la Torre can bring success to the team after recent disappointment after disappointment.

Chepo de la Torre is making his Mexico managerial debut here. He has seen a ton of success in the past but has his hands full with this Mexico team.

At least Chepo has Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez to work with, his best young player.
Expect the team to win or at the very least draw with this undermanned Bosnia squad.

Top Super Bowl commercials 2011: Bieber Ozzy Best Buy ad shows Justin as 'old creepy dude'

Justin Bieber transformed himself into an "old creepy dude" for Best Buy's Super Bowl commercial with Ozzy Osbourne to riff off critics who often say he looks "like a girl."

Clad in "Tron"-like gear in what appeared to be a Star Wars-style space ship, Ozzy spends the first half of the commercial yelling about 4G and 5G, touting the fact that Best Buy buys back items when you want to upgrade.

"How many bloody G's are there?" he asks, when handed the newer version.

Bieber, clad in a similar costume, arrives on the scene to relieve the Black Sabbath front man of his duties.

"Technology moves fast. Don't get left behind," the ad's tagline reads.

The 16-year-old pop star then holds up a 6G phone and exclaims that it's "Bieber 6 G fever!"

In the background, Ozzy looks confused and Sharon crinkles her nose as Bieber -- wearing a wig, make-up and facial hair to transform himself into what he described on Twitter as an "old creepy dude" -- skulks in the background.

"Whats a 6G?" Sharon asks.

"What's a Bieber?!" the lead singer of Black Sabbath responds.

"I don't know," the costumed Bieber replies. "It kind of looks like a girl."

After the show, Bieber tweeted, "all im gonna say is if you can #laughatyourself life is more fun" and that "@OfficialOzzy is the man, so funny."

It was a big weekend for the "Baby" singer. He also appeared in a spoof of "The Roomate" on "Saturday Night Live" and was forced to dodge Dana Carvey's Church Lady's advances during the NBC show as well.

Chrysler 200, Eminem Super Bowl ad leaves Metro Detroit talking

 Search Amazon.com for Chrysler

Chrysler 200 is the top Google trend at the moment. What's Chrysler 200 all about?

(WXYZ) - There weren't any jokes, and there definitely weren't any supermodels.

But the Eminem/Chrysler 200 Super Bowl ad has Metro Detroiters all abuzz.

The voiceover was done by Grand Rapids native Kevin Yon. His grisly voice starts the commercial off asking viewers "What does a town that's been to hell and back know about the finer things in life?"

The ad takes you on a tour of Detroit. From northbound I-75 you see manufacturing and industry. With shots of historic buildings and snow, it's a cold, hard look at what makes this city strong. Cue Eminem's "Lose Yourself", and at 40 seconds in you get your first glimpse of the Chrysler 200.

With a running time of two minutes and excellent cinematic value, it's practically a short-length film. But the star isn't the Chrysler 200-- it's the city of Detroit.

2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible To Debut at 2011 Chicago Auto Show

Just the Facts:
  • Chrysler confirmed on Friday that the 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible will make its world debut on February 9 at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show.
  • It will be somewhat of an automotive anti-climax, since Chrysler has already released such critical details as photos and pricing.
  • The successor to the midsize Sebring convertible had been expected to debut at the Geneva auto show.
AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — The 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible will make its world debut at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show on February 9, the automaker confirmed on Friday. The debut is about a month earlier than anticipated, since the successor to the midsize Sebring convertible had been expected to debut at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show.

The reveal of the Chrysler 200 Convertible will be somewhat of an automotive anti-climax since virtually all the details about the car, including photos, were released last week.

The new convertible arrives this spring at U.S. Chrysler dealers, priced from $27,195 for the base 200 Convertible Touring model and $31,990 for the 200 Convertible Limited. A third variant, the 200 Convertible S, will be priced when it arrives later in the model year.

The Chrysler 200 Convertible features new sheet metal, upgraded suspension, revised interior and the availability of the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 and six-speed automatic transmission. The base engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder mated to a six-speed transmission.

Inside Line says: The date has been set for the 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible's official coming-out party. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
